Usefull book
I have recently purchased a handy little book which is very usefull in identifying WW1 badges it is obtainable from the following web address .[url]www.family-tree.co.uk/acatalog/Armed_Forces_Research.htmit was around £7.50
but worth it the images are pen drawn but done very well indeed The title of the book is Identifying your WW1 Soldier from Badges and Photographs. BLIZZARD Last edited by BLIZZARD; 10-08-08 at 02:16 PM. |

I also have had a little book called " More sources of World War 1 Army Ancestry" by Norman Holding for some time. It is published by the Federation of Family History Societies.
It contains some possibly interesting material but then when we get to the Chapter tilted "Regimental and Battalion names" we have the entries: Scottish ( Liverpool Scottish) 9th,10th Kings Liverpools Isle of Man 16th Kings( Liverpool ) Territorial Rifles 5th,6th Kings ( Liverpool ) Which rather puts into doubt the reliablity of the information contained in the rest of the book. P.B.
