Default Fakes

I’d agree with Simon I don’t like the look of those

I like none of them. The ELancs has the folded headdress seen on common fakes, the Kings's Own is modern as well imo.

VTC is fake as Simon says. The Lancs Hussars is definitely fake too, it does not have the correct voiding and has been artificially aged etc. Like Alan said the East Lancs is the common fake with the triangular headdress. The Lancs Fusiliers looks dud too. I’d also agree with Alan’s comments on the King’s Own being relatively modern.

The collar badge may stand a chance but not something I collect so cannot say hand on heart.

From the photographs, I would not be happy with any of those, where did you get them?

The Loyals collar stands a chance in my opinion. The rest have been commented upon.

Thanks everyone for your comments and guidance as to where the errors are.
Part of my collection and had them for more than 20 years-bought separately mostly from market/antique stalls in Brick Lane,Angel or Portobello Road-in those days as a novice collector just bought a badge if I liked it- never thought anything may be fake!
We live and learn .Thanks to the Forum now I have a tiny bit -but not much more -knowledge!
