Default ID no.2, Aliuminium one

Hi,
Heres the second badge for is. Its a very light aliuminium badge, has Letter G in a circle on the rear. For some reason i think its European as ive found Belgian badges in my box of badges.
Size is 45mm tall x 50mm wide.
Any ideas?

It can possibly be a police badge, my grandpa was a prison officer and he did collect police buttons and police badges aswell as military badges and buttons. This was in his army collection box, he may have mixed a few up.
