Second and third photographs in post four very clearly show the embroidered bullion cap badges with metal anchor being worn.

If they were a CPO then they would have worn the gold class I uniform cap badge which was given to PO's in 1920 when CPO's moved to the laurel wreath cap badge.

That is a very difficult question to answer, they do turn up, although, perhaps not as often as they should, it was quite a considerable organisation, that actually fought on several fronts, original examples certainly turned up, on occasion in South Africa, often for very little, not all that many years ago.
I remember actually buying an example in Windhoek, of all places, which is ironic, given the adventures of a certain Lieutenant Commander Whittall, I like to think that it might have once belonged to one of his young lads.
Back to the badges themselves, sadly, I would think you would have to dig a little deeper into your purse these days.
I would look out for a good and clearly, well used example, if I were you.

Do you have any photographs that actually show members of armoured car companies wearing such badges on their right sleeves?
