Default Buffs (EKR) slider and lugs

Hello! I have these two buffs badges...they are really nice, but I would like to know if are not just nice but legit...I don't know if Buffs used the two systems (slider and lugs) or just one...I need some help! Thank you!

The Buffs wore a lugged badge on their Field Service Cpas from the late 1890s onwards.

Ehen the 'Brodrick' and later peaked cap arrived (circa 1903 and 1906) the badge fixings were changed to the vertical shank. It stayed that way until the 1950s.

This one is a genuine Victorian era one.

The one you show has visible scales on the skin...my lugged one too, but the slider one don't..it has little notches instead the scales...so I would say, from mi ignorance (I am a rookie) that the lugged one is a legit 50's era and the slide one a WWII copy...do you agree?

No the opposite. The sldiered one is probably OK whilst the lugged one is modern,

Oh...as you can see my knowledge is really poor...I thought the luggered was modern but not a copy...I thought was only postwar...

I would tend to think a Buffs badge earlier if the tip of the tail does not connect with the main part of the tail. Alan's badge tail tip looks to be non connected, just bent to touch. Regards, Paul.
