Does any have an idea of the time period that this cap badge would have been used?

From the early 1950s until now. Appears an early quality bullion embroidered example.
A few from my collection, some smaller and with coloured backgrounds for the beret. Tim

Officer’s bullion embroidered cap and beret badges were/are not issued (with very few exceptions) and are purchased from military tailors usually funded by the officers outfit allowance.
