Particularly like the Pembroke Yeomanry ?cadets?badge, it's an arm badge isn't it?

That's right Chris.

Some cadet took it off his jumper to swop for a Royal Mons Engineers cap badge in the 1970's (was is better condition when he swapped it as washed it when got home !!!).

Badges are remaining in the collection, only getting rid of the cloth stuff and all the postcards.

Some superb badges Jonathan, thank you for sharing. How positive are you concerning the orientation of the RWF cloth helmet flash in red and blue?
I would expect the stripe to be worn horizontally similar to the Brigade of Guards equivalent and in line with the orientation of a stable belt. Otherwise it’s readily confused with a Royal Artillery flash.

The only flash that I am aware of that was actually worn on the FSH is the RWF grenade example to the right of the blue and red one in the photo. That is a later flat embroidered version that looks like the Boer War era cut down shoulder strap flashes and most likely Indian made as the vast majority of such Pagri flashes were.
That blue and red is one of the WW2 era rayon woven flashes. Most of those rayon flashes seem to have been authorized and made but never worn; the most common exceptions that were actually worn briefly are RAF or Corps such as RE, RAOC, RAMC and perhaps a couple more. The RA had their well known lozenge shaped red and blue flashes with metal insignia for wear on the Pagri even into WW2 to my knowledge, so would not be confused with this.

It might not be for a helmet, but for a slouch hat circa WW2. Both the 2nd and 1st Battalions fought in the Far East for most of the war (from Dunkirk onward) leaving the regiment’s TA battalions to fight in Western Europe exclusively.
