The AI thingy has obviously looked at photographs of Guardsmen taken during the Crimean War and included them in its conception of what a Guardsmen should look like.

And it then confused the scotsmen in the right photograph with guardsmen.

Good point, but I was trying to illustrate the fact that during the Crimean War nearly everyone on the British side, with the obvious exception of Florence Nightingale, wore a beard.
