Default SAS cloth title and badge for opinions

Hi team

Im going thru my box of misfits, renegades and poor level of buying rubbish.

Can I have opinions on the below.

I know the SAS title is a repro (narrow uneven letters) but thought I'd throw in there.

However the badge (4cm x 6cm) is similar to the one in Airtroopers display(DSC064?).

I was wondering if that is a legit piece.

cheers

Phill

The melton (felt) looks to be poor quality, possibly one from the Morigi stable?

Thanks bewley

I dont know about the morigi stable ,however it does look cheap and I have had it in the BS box.

The base of the material is felt.

Hi guys. The title is as you say a repro.
I bought many years ago the last remaining items fro sale via one of the local SAS association branches. There were several types of the oblong badge you show.
This may account for seeing various berets with them fitted (association members post their device days.
Or, it could be gash!

Thanks Tim/Jon

So the SAS badge is a made for assocition (for beret) worn by former members?

If so, I can at least , in my database, document as such , which I guess equates to "blazer" badges and puts relevance to said beret badge.

cheers

All I can say is that for one of the branches down South at least, this pattern of badge was available for purchase.
I cannot claim that the club had them
Made, nor that they were sold
To be used in berets mate. That’s my assumption only. :-)

Thanks Jon

At least when some one is searching here for winged dagger and comes across this post they could at least know what this type of wing is.

cheers
