Default Mystery Chapka Helmet Plate

Hi all, my dad picked up this Chapka helmet plate and he has no idea which regiment it belongs to. I'm reaching out to the Forum hive mind to ID this plate. I'm pretty sure its a good example the lugs on the back appear to have some wear.

My Dad and I thank you all in advance.

Greg

Thanks Hoot, for the id! Is it a good one or a repop?

Czapka plates have been electroform copied for years. This thread lists known copies.

The accuracy of copies can be down to the micron.

I’m yet to hear how anyone can categorically discern such high quality copies where the copier has gone to the lengths possible for someone adept at this craft.

Some pointers I would say are imperial measure screw posts, detail - I like the reverse block impression around the lettering on yours, and thickness - hold it up to the light many originals are quite thin and you can see spots of light through it.
