Deletion of Threads

Hi Michael,

The thread shows up on google using this method but the links go to an invalid notification. Thank you for the info on how to do a search like this, very useful for the future

No problem.

If the link no longer works, don't forget to try the cached option - Google has a cached version of some pages in its search engine - sometimes you can't access the actual page, but a "cached" version will still be available. Another reason to use the Google search engine.

If you look at the first result under the google search for

site:britishbadgeforum.com Scottish war memorial

You will see this:

After "Other Military Topics" you will see a little downwards pointing arrow - click on it and you will see an option to look at "Cached". It will show you the cached version of the web page at the URL it has found.

In this example, it takes you to a copy of the page, with a header announcing:

This will sometimes enable you to find a page that has been deleted or changed.
