Am just wondering about this shoulder title..... I'm thinking WW1... Jim

Hi Jim, You are talking about the top title?
It is identified as a CEF period title, but a similar title is shown in Mazeas pre-1914 without the periods.

I was more interested in the bottom title.... It's way to big to be attributed to Boer War and it's not 1920's 50's... Charlton lists a Strathcona title semi circle for CEF but no picture... Jim

The bottom title was the officer's pattern. All ranks now wear this pattern. I do not know exactly when the change occurred, but it probably around the time DEUs with shoulder straps were issued.

Top title is pre WW 1, and the bottom was worn during WW 1. The modern day example came into service mid 90's.
