Northumberland Fusiliers Cloth badge! Info Please!
Gentlemen,
where or on what form of dress was this badge worn? I suspect a WW1 period item, it measures 40 x 53mm, is printed/painted and hessian backed? What is it and it's value please? Thanks in advance! Andy |

Hello Andy, and hello everyone - my first post.
Denis Wood (The Fifth Fusliiers and its Badges) describes this badge as: 652. c. 1915-1919. Soldiers. On khaki cloth a plain grenade and letters N.F. below all painted in white. A variets (652A) is embroidered in white worsted on khaki serge. Worn stitched on the upper sleeve of the khaki jacket or on the epaulette of greatcoat. Last edited by elgee45; 10-11-10 at 11:39 PM.
