Default a pre- '37 Royal Highlanders NCO's badge

Hello,

I have this pre- '37 Royal Highlanders NCO's badge, cane anyone say if it's aoriganol? Ther are no maker markers.

Looks like an officer's silver and gilt plate example rather than an NCO badge.
NCO examples are WM and GM with lugs in the raw.
