Default Royal Irish Fusiliers

Hi all ,
aquired this one this morning looks the dogs to me but am no expert, looked through forum and have'nt come across this type of strengthener, there are ones between the flame and coronet on one piece badges, but have'nt come across one between the grenade and flame.
Unfortunately the badge came with no coronet
Am sorry for quality of photo but hope it is clear enough.
Thanks Tony.

I have a Yorkshire yeomanry badge with the same type of strengthener. It looks perfectly ok to me.
