HI team, I came across this post as I myself have come into the possession of a non voided example as posted at the beginning. I have to say this piece rings well for me, lot of heavy wear etc. It would have been nice to have studied some examples in the galleries, but someone left the playground with his ball. Never mind. I take the opinions of the postings by Tonyb and Tinto. Not everything is cut or dry. I posted it to have at least some to view in future.

Well, thanks team.

Simon (Your Friendly Brit in the Colonies)

Unhappy Keith's albums

Wondered why I couldn't get into Keith's albums when I tried last night.

Shame, they're a pleasure to look at.

Regards
Brian

Hi Simon,
What does the back of your badge look like? Similar to mine (and Tony's) non-voided one?

Yes, I concur with others who miss Keith's fine Albums.

Cheers, Tinto

I'm afraid it is with this badge in my opinion wear or not. Non voided = fake. Whether or not the albums can be viewed is irrelevant, I showed my GENUINE one earlier in the post to help out the original enquirer and then got asked to by someone else to justify why I think all non-voided ones are copies. I made my point when to be honest I've got better things to do so if posting a picture of a genuine one in the thread isn't good enough for some then neither as far as I'm concerned is viewing my galleries. Yes, I've taken my ball home if I'm the one you're pointing the finger at.

Incidently I've had two conversations about this badge off line, one a dealer who wouldn't touch a non-voided version with a badge pole and the other a collector who has forgotten more than I will ever know about KRRC and London Regt badges and he backs me up too. Of course everyone is entitled to ignore advice and like I said earlier if you're happy with what you have then fine.

Hi Tinto, I'll try and take a pic this week and post it on this thread. I'm slowly taking better pics of what I have and posting as I get time.

Regards

Hi Brian,

The question of being able to view other members albums is easy to answer, I uploaded half a dozen itemised albums because I wanted to show others my collections, constructive criticism was generally welcomed but sniping and sarcasm is not.

The why's and wherefore's of what I collect is solely my business and I was quite happy to share what I have with everyone but the albums were not shown purely as a research tool for others, if a badge that I own helped someone, then great.

I fully endorse Keith's decision to show only to friends, I was annoyed at a remark about researching through others albums and Keith is annoyed at a sarcastic post, remarks like taking balls out of the playground are unnecessary and in themselves, show a lack of maturity too.

Debate is the way forward not sarcasm, proving a statement is of course desirable but pedantic persuance of a point has in the past, caused problems on this forum and I'm sure, will do so in the future.

This is just my opinion of course, I will, eventually, create another album of sorts but it will only be available to contacts too, if I'm being negative, please accept my apologies.....................

Dave.
