Default Royal Marines Officers Badge

These two came from separate sources, but are they potentially the two halves of a Royal Marines Officers badge?

And was there some sort of backing plate?

Regards Rob.

Rob

The Lion & Crown does appear to be the top part of a RM Officer's cap badge (usually find the lugs east/west though) but the globe and laurel is actually an officer's collar badge which is smaller than the G&L used as the cap badge. If you're considering letting them go I'd be interested in the Lion & Crown.

Thanks Paddy.

I will think about whether I should keep it.

Regards Rob.

I have one of the lion & crown's that also has the lugs north & south, very fine stamping but well polishedon the front now, but before you get too excited it's a queen's crown!
