VICTORIAN BADGE?
Hi, anyone got an idea on this one. It's in stirling, marked at rear. Just couldn't put my finger on what it is for.
Thanks |

The cypher AR and crown would seem to be that of Queen Adelaide (spouse of William IV) which features in the cap badge but with a scroll below of the Queen's Own Oxfordshire Hussars (K&K1462).
It could be (depending on size) a fitting from a pouch? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adelaide_of_Saxe-Meiningen

Thanks for that GGA. I thought I was suffering from attention deficiency there for a minute.

Thanks chap's, dependable as always. I don't think it;s an add to the collection. Unless you think it's rare enough to pick up for 10 pound

The collar dogs are scroll-less. We've been asked to remake them for a current RLC Reserve unit squadron affiliation.
