The draft of dress regs that can be found online states that :-
An Officers pouch badge has been commissioned, they shall wear a pouch badge of an antecedent regiment in the meantime.
ORs pouch badge ,the Queens Badge in chrome.
In No2 dress WO2s will wear a brown crossbelt with brass Queens Badge.

the final commission being the one the RSM is wearing and more will follow but at regimental cost.

Thanks Mike

Richard checked back and found his Officers type Pouch badge was in a plain plastic bag no stock numbers . Which would indicate a sample for consideration i never saw it in wear while i was at QRL 1993 -2003. So still trying to find its origin. Still a nice bit of history to have, but RL were bombarded for business after amalgamation so theres a few bits knocking around.

Best Mac

You say that the red OR badge on the far right is rare, so what would an OR wear in their cap if not this one?

RL dont wear a NCO armbadge. The red cloth badge was only worn for a short time and was replaced with the all metal badge for service dress
