Default Mysteries found in a WW2 commando grouping

Any help would be appreciated in helping identify a couple of items found in the ephemera and insignia grouping of a Royal Engineers / Combined Operations Pilotage Party (COPP) veteran. For a period the veteran lived in the Southampton area. Several non-military items were included and the veteran was an active member of The International Brotherhood of Magicians. It would be great to identify the attached in understanding the veteran more fully. So far my research of these items has been inconclusive, and any pointers on where to research further would be most welcome - Thank you - Mike

Any chance that the mans name was Finny?

A branch of that family uses "Finis Opus Coronat" in that order.

Far more common is "Finis Coronat Opus", which is said to be Ovid.

Hi Mike

The shield appears to be University College of Estate Management:

All the best

Very many thanks to you both - I much appreciate the time you have taken to respond.
Graham - Great to identify the shield design - which potentially opens new avenues for research.
BWEF - Many thanks for the insight. The man had the surname 'Harris', but nothing has been straightforward with research to date.
Sincere thanks for your help - this forum is fantastic for sharing ideas and expertise.
Mike

Paul - very many thanks - that is excellent research. I much appreciate your help. I had struggled to find much on either of the two badges, but this Forum came up trumps and your help will give me yet another avenue to explore.

Interestingly, Graham's identification of the 'University College of Estate Management' shield has provided some links to survey work etc which correlates nicely with activities of a COPPist

Thanks to all ... this is a great forum where others are prepared to assist when you need some help. I never cease to be amazed by the expertise here.

Mike
