Iain.
Merely an observation and in no way, whatsoever, a criticism, after all, it was what was worn by officers of the regiment, I have a number here, some of which, came from their original wearer's, I should be very happy with the badge you mention, if I were you.
In North Africa and Italy these badges were treasured by their owners and certainly could be replaced easily, no good going up to Reeves Moore and telling him you had lost your badges!

Frank,

I am happy with all the badges in my collection, obviously some are more treasured than others, but even the war cast have a place. There is just a slight difference in quality between the two as you mention
