Arab Badges
Hello,
Managed to pick up these badges to Arabic Nations. The A.P.L badge has been previously discussed on the forum and I believe is a modern fake? The other badges I have no idea what Unit's they represent. The silver badge is made by Firmin. Sorry about the rear photo as my scanner is doing crazy things! Thanks for any assistance. Regards Paul |

Arab badges
Your first badge has, I think the arabic letter for the no. 3, your second badge is for the Aden Protectorate Levies and the third is Aden Federal National Guard, worn1959-1967. as far as I can see there is nothing wrong with the APL badge. John,

I concur with BP44. The anodized APL is genuine, but of course that metal was only introduced for a short period of time.

Thanks John and Quicksilver. I picked them up because they were unusual badges and now I know what Units they belong to I'm very happy I did!
Thanks again Paul |

No big deal, but it is actually the number Two in Arabic.

OK well here is a translation of the shoulder title. It is actually Turkish and it says Nizam al Jamiyat, which means, according to my sources, "Law of Organizations". So I am not sure that helps!!

Wow that was quick Eddie!
Thanks for the translation. Sounds like something from the civil service? Back in the draw for now. Thanks Paul |
