Default Royal Iraqi army (1930s) 1941

Hello,

just found these links that show Iraqi officers 1930s-40s.

http://oefoif.forumotion.net/t1569-i...uniform-1930-s

http://ramyabdeljabbar.wordpress.com...me-in-baghdad/ (i have corrected the web address, it now works).

You can just about see the collar insignia.

According to Peter Abbott in his book "Unknown armies Iraq"

infantry had a crossed rifles badge on a dark green square on the khuda or tropical sun helmet, cavalry had crossed scimitars on grey, artillery a grenade on dark blue.

Also a rectangular collar patch with a point down with the insignia.

Enlisted men had a tunic with stand collar for cool weather, but mostly wore

shirts, shorts, puttees, khuda, m1908 kit.

Not sure if they had the insignia on the khuda or tunic collar.

I haven't been able to find any photos of enlisted men (in shirts/shorts).
