Default Liver Bird - Police?

Chaps is this a Liverpool City Police badge or something else, like buses or Corporation?
Chromed metal with Firmin London stampled on the slider.

Peter,

Not worn by Liverpool City Police. A general Corporation badge which was last worn by parking attendants before being replaced by a fire brigade style star with a green ring.

Dave.

Police History of England & Wales (2018 ed) by Peter Clark, page E-737, item Ref: E-742:27 has a picture of this badge, with the comments:

“Liver Bird” badge (no crown) -used as collar badges and larger version above sergeant’s chevrons. Rarity Value: 1:3,000 (pair).
Note: Probably also used by other Liverpool uniformed employees.

The badge in question was never used as a collar badge by Liverpool City Police, nor was it worn above Sergeant's chevrons. The publication you mention needs to be "well salted" before digestion. It contains some significant errors.

Dave.
