Default British military buttons books?

Hi all,
Can any of you knowledgeable people
Recommend some books indexing british military
Buttons.
Is there a book for buttons as in-depth as the kipling and king books for cap badges?

Many thanks!

book wise its pretty poor for british Buttons. Shoulder belt plates and buttons by Parkyn has been a staple but that was done in the 1950's and for some time needs someone to revise it and add with more modern knowledge. Howard Ripley has done some work on regular and volunteer, yeomanry and militia but its only from 1855 onwards. before 1855 its very scant with the American Don Troiani doing some good work with british units fighting in America and Canada up to 1814. I'm currently working on an online database and that should be ready soon and should have rarity added which i dont think any book has at the moment for british buttons. im on facebook as well https://www.facebook.com/groups/117082335639412/ and discuss most areas of early british buttons you welcome to join.

Thanks for your recommendation s david ...wow that book by Gwen squire fetches a hefty price tag,
Cheapest i can find it for is £80,
Would you consider it worth it's price?
I am guessing it is with the small amount of reading out there on this fascinating topic.

The early military button database hasn't been updated in quite a few years now partly why im trying to help get a more active site going.
