Default Silver L'pool pals

Is it just me? or does this badge look like it's a badly pressed copy?

It's described as original, but I've never seen a solid silver pals badge that looks as poor as this one dose. Am I wrong?

Thank you. I think I got confused with the cap badge. But it's still a badly made brooch. Can't think why a jeweller would admit to it being a piece they made. But it is what it is, and up to the individual if they want it in their collection.

These 'sweetheart brooches' were made by RC - Richard Chandler. I doubt he sold his brooches as "genuine" cap badges but I'm sure that a number of "dealers" today are....
