My thoughts would be to get your money back and perhaps buy a beer instead.

But make sure it's real ale, not repro.

I think, to be quite honest, that would rather depend upon the personal taste of the buyer, he may not like real ale.

Oh well, I thought it was humorous, if only a little.

Aha, Margate - the dark steer's tookas of southern England.

Great, I need these people to examine all my fake badges and reclassify them as genuine.

Matthew 7:6 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

... fire and brimstone Mr Silverwash, fire and brimstone.

Thanks to all for your input. Let's close this off, unless there more pertinent points to be made.

I'll finish off on a couple of points:

1. I now accept that the wings are probably 99% repro/fake,
2. I will be keeping the wings for future reference, and
3. I prefer a good lager, but have been known to sup a Guiness or three.

Let's all stay safe and have fun. We're only on this earth for a short time.

No Jerry, I'm just curious! As already stated, J. Bouchery in his "D-Day Paratroopers" claims that Printed Para Wings were issued. I haven't seen any other publication confirming it.
This forum is a great place for debating and exchanging ideas!

One wonders where J Bouchery got that particular information from?

I seem to remember they were shown in Militaria Magazine?
