Hi Griff,

I'll post the full picture, but it is one of several embroidered panels around the Role of Honour. It's not an actual badge but indicative of the design associatedwith the unit, which is why I uploaded it in support of your theory.

KR,

Pete

Default Sussex Yeo

Hi Griff.
Sorry for late arrival at this party! I couldn’t lay my hands on the attached photos of 2nd Lieutenant F. Jenner of the Sussex Yeo / 16th R.Sussex until now.
Hopefully you can make out the regimental diamond flash on his right arm. No broken spur on that one! I had one of the broken spur on blue/yellow diamond that you illustrate but stupidly lent it to someone for display who later sold it on eBay! Mine came from a family member who joined the Sussex Yeo post WW1 but did not have any war service. The person I lent mine to also had one that had belonged to Colonel Powell-Edwards, the author of the Sx Yeo WW1 history.
The spur on his badge was worked in gold bullion. So I am of the opinion that the badge belongs to the immediate period post war when the Sx Yeo reformed and before they amalgamated with the Surrey Yeo to form 98th field brigade RFA. From memory, the Sx Yeo was known as 13th Army Brigade RFA in that period. I will check the history and confirm that title when I get a chance. Hope this helps and doesn’t muddy the water even more!
Kind regards, Andrew.

Hi Andrew

Looks like the Pagri badge sewn onto service dress... love to have seen an image of the other badge you were talking about.
