I have no questions about the badge as such, but have nevertheless questions about the regiment it belongs to.
Is this a pre 1901 type crown? There was no regiment with the title Rajput Rifles. I know of the same badge (stringed bugle with RR), but with a KC. That is the one of the 6th Rajputana Rifles (from 1922, from 1945 The Rajjputana Rifles). Can you explain who used this badge?

I was incorrect in the title of the regiment. The style of crown I have seen online shows both types

Thanks for the explanation. I see you corrected the title of the thread.

Again, thanks. Thus the badge can be attributed to 1st Bn, 6th Rajputana Rifles.
My main confusion was of course the mentioning of a regiment named Rajput Rifles, which I did not know it ever existed. But all is clear now.
