Default DLI Territorial cap badge

I have just bought a DLI Territorial cap badge
There is just something about it that says "wrong un"
It has blades on the back which are right.
It seems to have been painted with a glossy black finish on the front and the metal on the South Africa scroll seems to be a different metal to the stringed bugle horn.
When you scratch a bit of the glossy black paint from the surface the stringed bugle horn part of the badge seems to be cast bronze and the scroll seems to be brass.
I bought this from the US.

Hi there,

I have a genuine version of the DLI Territorials in my Durham album that you are describing and think I saw the one you purchased from the US. Indeed as Jerry suggests post pictures front and back and will let you know, cheers Dean.

Default DLI Terry [or not ]

I was just packing this up to return to sender, but thought you might like to take a look at it,it appears to be varnished or could it be the old arfix paint seem to remember you could get a finish like this if you didn't stir it up proper.
And lugs with feet like shovels.
