Default Unknown Naval Badges for ID

Hello,

I have also got these three badges, one presumably an old British Shipping Line KHM and two foreign ones if anyone can please help to ID.

I will be selling them when identified.

regards

Simon,

"KHM" is "King's Harbour Master." I think that position is usually held by a guy at the RN Portsmouth Naval Base. I think the one with the Crown atop is from Belgium.

Dave.

Today there are three Queen's Harbour Masters in the UK, one for each of the major naval ports of the UK: the Clyde Dockyard Port of Gareloch and Loch Long in the Firth of Clyde, the Dockyard Port of Portsmouth in Portsmouth, and the Dockyard Port of Plymouth in Plymouth.

Hi Simon

I think the smallest at the bottom is for the Marine branch of the French Gendarmerie, but I’m at work so will ask a mate when I get home (if someone hasn’t confirmed/denied that in the interim).

HMNB Clyde; also known as HMS Neptune, is primarily sited at Faslane on Gareloch.

Loch Long used to be the site of the Royal Naval Torpedo Testing Station and Range, later referred to as both the Loch Long Torpedo Range, or the Arrochar Torpedo Range. now demolished. RN Armaments Depot Coulport is on the eastern shore at the head of Loch Long and stores the Trident Missiles for Faslane..

Two other Her Majesty's Navel Bases with QHM's are:

Queen's Harbour Master: East Cove Port - Falkland Islands

Queen's Harbour Master: Gibraltar

Hi Simon,

I'd like the KHM badge if you are selling it, please?

Cheers,

Phil
