Default RAMC link?

Could be mate.
I’ll tap up some of the known dealers directly and see what I can find out.
Most probably a sub unit within 3 Div?

Jon
My opinion ? It’s totally bogus, some years ago these were being sold at the old Bristol militaria fair. They look like they’ve been made using a stencil carved out of a potato .
There , I’ve come down off the fence now !

Not certain what they were supposed to be. The guy who was selling them had a whole range of different ones, mostly just geometric shapes in different colour combinations. Sorry I have no additional information…

My tuppence worth is that it looks to have been crudely made from an old army blanket; not something that formation signs are usually made from.

Thanks guys. In the past I’ve had a couple of pieces that transpired to be rare badges. Nobody could identify them until weirdly I’d moved them on.
I’m just a lot more (understandably) cynical these days.
Thanks so much for the assistance Gentlemen.
Off to the weird box it goes.
Happy collecting:-)

Fully agree. The technique hides a variety of sins for duff formation signs - this seems to have come more from the imagination than the Army Dress Committee. Apart from 27 Brigade changing the black to blue (and adding three '9's) and an AAC regiment in recent years changing the black to sky blue with a maroon centre, nit sure of many (any?) other variations on the sign.

Default Div Patch

Imoo it’s just a made up item who knows why or what for. But I don’t think this has any connection to 3rd Div
