Default London Irish Rifles - what current button pattern?

I believe that latterly the London Irish Rifles [now D (London Irish Rifles) Company, The London Regiment] wear Royal Irish Regiment pattern buttons.

Can anyone confirm it this is so and when the practice began?

Have they ever had a St Edward's crown version of their own specific regimental pattern button?

thanks

John

Default LIR button

John I've never seen a London Irish QC button, they started wearing the buttons of the Royal Irish Rangers but not sure from what date. As far as I know they are still worn (the buttons of the Royal Irish Regiment and the Irish are the same). Interestingly the new London Irish mess dress buttons made a few years ago have a KC, but this was because the old KC die was still in the possession of the regiment, and the price of a new die would have been to expensive.
