Rifle Brigade

I have this Rifle Brigade badge. It looks as though at one time it had lugs that have been removed and some Philistine has soldered on a slider. I should appreciate opinions as to whether I should not care unduly because it is an all round dud or is it a dinkum badge that has been messed with.

I wish I had a good camera so that I could take beaut photos like some of the others I see here.
