Royal Sussex
Can i have some thoughts on this broached Royal Sussex badge. Regards.Phil.

It looks like an all GM 1916 badge (being formerly BM). It looks as though there is the scar of a broken off slider at the top. The brooch pins look as though they are crudely soldered on.
All plausible so far ! |

Thanks KLR, yes i think you are right,i don't have any economy badges but sounds right. It is a nice badge apart from the broach and the slider has been removed.Regards Phil.

Phil,
I agree with Julian/KLR and think he is spot on with his ID! There are some intact examples in this album! http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...hp?albumid=400 Andy |

Thanks for that Andy, i have had a look at your three examples, mine seems IMO to be yet another pattern, and darker.Regards.Phil.

Phil,
I thnk the colour may be an attempt to make it look like an OSD, perhaps and officer lost one and had an ORs EI adapted? Who knows? Andy |
