A Gentleman in Kharki-Boer War Bling?
Hello chaps
Find attached pics of a medal related to three Great British Institutions...Spinks medals,The Daily Mail and Rudyard Kipling. The Absent Minded Beggar medal was named after a Rudyard ditty written to raise money for the Boer War.The medal was sold by the Daily Mail and the campaign in total provided £250,000 of funds. The dates however, like the first QSA's carry the anticipated war ending date. Given the current situation it is safe in white metal! Dave

There was also a statue, or statuette, sold at the time.
