RAF Mediterranian 8th Army Ash Tary
Hi
Picked this up this morning, I know it's not a badge but couldn't resist it. I am guessing made just after the war and has both the RAF badge and what I believe to be the 8th army divisional badge. Has anyone seen anything like this before Rob |

Any markings on the back?
I have seen pottery souvenir items with US patches on on ebay. They were said to have been made in northern Italy towards the end of, and just after, the war. Metal souvenir ash trays, plaques and trays are even more common. Made in Italy for sale to troops returning home in 1945.

Ash tray
Hi biffrocks, nothing wrong with your posting the pic of an ash tray. As a collector of Artillery hat badges, buttons, shoulder titles, Div signs AND memorabilia, I have picked up all sorts of things with that "Ubiquitous" gun on it. Just think of the thematic titles you can cover in that one item. "Div signs", "Air force insignia", "Campaigns" and even "Ash trays depicting Military insignia" As far as value?, and story behind it?, I've no idea. You like it and it's worth to you, is what you gave for it. Best regards, David J.
