Montreal Highland Cadets
Hi Guys,
I got this badge at the weekend and would value your opinions on it. I've never saw another so don't know what to look for. It has a Scully MM on the back and looks and feels good. Any info would be great. Thanks, Bill

Can't see anything wrong with this badge. According to this link, it could possibly be an officer's badge.Usually still seen in brass in shows.....

Hi Jo,
Thanks for the comment, like I said, I had nothing to go on with this one. An interesting like to the history too, I have downloaded it and will have a read through at the weekend. Another good one to add to my Canadaian Scottish Collection Regards, Bill

Hi Jo, just was wondering where they were located. I was in the cadets (Royal Montreal Regt) mid seventies and they were out on the west island. We had hideous bright red berets.

Well Wally...I think they were located in what is known as "downtown" Montreal and probably had their training in one of the english-speaking school of the time. You have to remember that the then Montreal was a lot different than the modern Montreal. Even you would find that Montreal has changed a lot since your time with the RMR (but Westmount has not changed that much....).
