Default Jersey Field Squadron RE (RMIJ) V / TA / AR

I have just updated and reframed the badges and insignia of the above unit.
These date from 1987 when the Field Squadron was formed up to 2020.

All four variations of the Other Rank’s beret badge and both variations of the Officer’s beret badge are present along with the samples for the design of the Officers Cap Badge.

Left sleeve between the Union Flag and the 25 (Close Support) Engineer Group Formation Badge* (*flash in some MoD jargon).

Default Jersey Fd Sqn RE

Wonderful collection of the Jersey Fd Sqn RE.
I have 2 Officers badges, 1 marked MCE 038, the other XXX
Also a Officer bullion badge of the newer style and 2 x A/A badges, 1 with the silver back, both maker marked LONDON BADGE & BUTTON Co Ltd.
I have as well a new metal version with same maker name and metal Cadet badge with serial No CDT 012, which I think I got from your good self.
This also includes a few TRF's etc, the bottom 5.

I only wore my Militia flash on No2 dress and jumper. That was RMonRE. You are apparently allowed to wear your Militia flash. in perpetuity no matter what regt you are.

I think that's a bit of an urban myth to be honest, it's not listed in JSPs as a badge that can be worn in perpetuity - I would imagine you would have a bit of a fight on your hands to justify that one

Those of 143 who went to 75 RE(V) continued to wear them. Those from 225 and 143 who left and went to 125 after 143 was disbanded carried on wearing them.
No doubt certain people in Monmouth would be have had a moan about it.

Hi Norman

Are you able to give a description of the 4th AA badge that’s not detailed on your website?

I’ve got the 3 listed on your site as well as the Officers bullion wire badge and silver and gilt badge (MCE040).

Must try and get an example of a button...

I’ve got the RMonRE(M) silver and gilt badge on its way and the mess dress button, so will likely re-do this at some point
