Default What it it? Royal Canadian Regiment QVC Collar?

Hi everyone,

I was hoping to get some clarity on something, I recently purchased this RCR QVC collar. I had posted it online in a Facebook group in hopes of broadening my search for a mate.

The responses have left more questions than answers, everything from its not Canadian to Canadian shoulder title. It made sense that it looked like it could belong to the Canadian militia

Any thoughts?

Someone suggested that to me so I went back to the seller, who insisted it was canadian RCR but as a shoulder instead of a collar. The seller is very reputable and has been collecting and selling them for years. He said it's in Mazeas Canada pre 1914

Though I should have added it's north and south lugs and is 2cm wide and 2.5cm tall.

The Royal Canadian Regiment and the Royal Canadian Dragoons wore the VR cypher badge on their shoulder straps. However, the Canadian version was the VRI. More information here: http://www.regimentalrogue.com/rcrba...and_titles.htm
