Default Unknown OTC? badge

Hi
Can anyone help me with this badge? I.m guessing it's an OTC badge but I'm probably wrong.

It is not an OTC. I believe that it a Commonwealth cadet corps badge. I will see if I can remember which country it is from.

There are heraldic similarities and the motto is the same but which organisation it is for eludes me.

My thought is also St. John's College. I did a quick Google and there is such a college in Cambridge.

Don't know if this is it or not.

A stoat as ermine along with heraldic ermine tails would also put me in mind of Brittany. Perhaps just a religious college badge with connections to Anne of Brittany (who was a queen of France).

The motto has a distant military connection :

Quote:
French Regiment Bretagne - Bretagne was first raised in 1644 by Cardinal Mazarin; it took the name of the Province of Bretagne in 1658.

The motto changed in 1757 from Potius Mori Quam Vinci [Better To Die Than Be Conquered] to Potius Mori Quam Faedari [Better To Die Than Be Dishonoured].

Hi, it is St. Joseph's Convent Cadets (Durban). Likely pre WW1. The St. Anne's is the same badge, just with an A. Regards Andrew

Traist

Thank you. I did notice the initials were not matching and that explains why. Considering the price Bosley's ask one would hope they might try better. It's asking prices like that which take all of the fun out of the hobby.
