Default War Crimes Trials

Images of the cloth formation signs worn by US service personnel, guarding prisoners, court security etc., during the Nuremberg (left) and Manila War Crimes Trials. Other patches exist for the Tokyo trials at Sugamo Prison.

Other allied service personnel were involved at these post-war trials is there any photographic evidence of any of these formation signs being worn by British or allies?

Thank you for looking, Keith

Hi,

In both pictures, the man behind Göring and Hess is wearing the patch during the Nuremberg trials.

Regards,

Albert

Albert,

Thank you for the image. I have seen pictures of US servicemen wearing the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials patch before.

My question was regarding other nations Allied servicemen (not USA), and did any wear the Nuremberg, Manila or Tokyo WCT patches?

Keith

Years ago I had the medals and badges of a British serviceman who interpreted German during the trials. I distinctly remember his badges being BOAR embroidered formation signs. Not to say that any others weren’t used though
