Help on identification
I have been told this was worn by the 7th Bn East Yorkshire Regt. Can anyone confirm this please? If not, who wore it?
Which way is it worn? Are the white ends turned in when sewn to the uniform? Any information would be welcome. |

I don't have the image number, but this is shown being worn in an IWM photograph by 7 East Yorks, 162 Inf Bde, 54 Inf Div c Oct 42 - Dec 43. It appears to have been worn - from the front of the arm - Black/White/Gold/Maroon - with the white ends folded under. That's a very nice example that you have - mine has been in the wars (literally!)

Many thanks for your confirmation Mike. I appreciate you also answering the other points I asked about. I can now put it in the correct section of my collection.
