Malayan Peoples' Anti-Japanese Army MPAJA Badge
I have been shown this badge which is a cloth version of the more familiar metal version which appears in Len Whittaker's book Some Talk of Private Armies.
It is carefully made and does not react adversely to UV light. It seems likely that it was made in the immediate post-war period to show service with the army. Thoughts please. Jon |

The badge is fake.
I examined this badge, when still attached to a copy black beret, a while ago at the Chelmsford Military fair. The seller is well known for making fakes and is responsible for very similar made fake cloth LRDG badge on beret which has been the subject of a thread on this forum. Prospective buyers beware... I would take UV light with a big grain of salt.

My thoughts would be that it looks rather too well detailed and brand new.
