I think this one is a modern repro? ..... I have put the K&K example next to it.

Correspondence from Harry Wynne in Crown Imperial 61, Winter 1990 p. 25: "A few years ago I visited the RMP at Chichester and got into a conversation with the then Assistant Curator who was full of enthusiasm about the exhibits on show. Somehow the badge in question (the MFP Crest & scroll badge) crept into the conversation. He told me that this badge was designed and issued for the coronation of Edward VII but the badge was very unpopular with the policemen who wore it and it was withdrawn. The interesting fact is that only 200 were made and each one had a makers name on the slider and was individually numbered from 1 to 200. None were known to have survived."
No mention is made of the metal or metals the badge was made of.

Regards, Thomas.

Hi all, I am new to collecting and am wondering what early Military Police badges retail at. More specifically KK 1027, 1028, 1028 a, 1030 and 1031. I recently saw a KK1027 for £150.00. I already have an MFP KK1029, and am assuming that it is a repro. Anyone out there able to give any guidance would be really appreciated.
