Default Unknown Bullion Signals Pakistan or India.

Hello All, here is an unusual bullion signals badge with an unusual star above.
Could this be an Indian badge, or maybe Pakistan?
Jimmy isn't standing on a globe, it has the motto Certa Cito, but what is that funny device in the star?
I have looked at Chris Walker's great web site, he has one slightly different, in that Jimmy is on a globe, the scroll is different and the star is a normal star.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

best wishes, Phil.

Jimmy looks a bit of a Mummy there, with a Soviet star above
Never saw anything like it.

Thanks CB, I have checked a lot of stars, and you are right the closest one is the Soviet Star. And I agree that Jimmy looks like a bandaged mummy. One for the odd box.

Phil.

I did some brief research on this badge and came across a link call signalsbadges.co.uk. The author suggests this is an early officers bullion badge of the 1947 design with the “Certa Cito” motto. Eventually it was replaced with the Devanagari version.

Here is the link:

http://www.signalsbadges.co.uk/framepage.htm - Homepage of Signal badges and variants.

The said bullion badge is found in the “Asia” section on the left side panel. It is among other bullion badges of the Indian Signal Corps.

Hope this helps.

Justin

Justin, the author of the site you mention has already replied to my question.
Clearly my badge and his are completely different, he has informed me that he does not know what my badge is.
Thanks very much for your input and looking around every little bit helps.

Best wishes, Phil.
