What you say about prices is absolutely true - an item is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. My thoughts are guided by what the specialist market has determined - but lots of items slip under the radar and bargains are to be had. The two serif No.10 Commando titles that Luc highlighted are a case in point - although most non-commando collectors would rightly relate more to the expense, than desirability to a specialist collector seeking to fill a gap. The specialist market is still healthy, and over the years has caught up with rarer Airborne, and even Special Forces, items etc in my experience. Things are undoubtedly skewed by entry of people with funds who seek more 'romantic' units. I personally still have a soft spot for Kitchener items of WW1 and often wonder how they have not taken off more than they have given rarity, quality, and stories they tell. All the best Mike |

Hi Mike,
The serif no 10 was also worn by no 2 Dutch troop. They are attractive and indeed command high prices. Cheers JB [/B] Quote:

It will be in my archive somewhere ... I will post when I find it, a bit busy at present - but agree, it is not found often with French from memory
