Default Canadian Infantry Corps ring?

Hello,
This is a ring found near some West Novas foxholes.





It looks like the insigna of the Canadian Infantry corps.



Any opnion is welcome.

Looking at your ring I'd say it's a bit of a stretch to call it canadian Infantry Corp.... I don't think it's Canadian at all as the crown looks more Belgian/German to me.... someone on the Forum will know for sure... thanks for posting

I don't think that's a ring for the Canadian Infantry Corps either. The shape of the shield is different, crown is the wrong size, no evidence of the rifles crossing on the shield, scroll details at the bottom are completely different, etc...

The badge on the ring looks more like the Italian infantry badge......like in the 1st poster, 1st row,4th one on the right "Fanteria".

I found another one on the web that looks similar...



Maybe is a war souvenir from a Canadian soldier.

Can't see something like that getting too close to a West Novas' defensive position.

I agree with You. That battle was after Italian Crown gave up, so a war souvenir for sure.

Don't forget that during WW1 the Italians were on the same side as the Canadians so it's reasonable to assume that there may have been a few Italians in their positions , perhaps as observers.
