Polish parachute badge

Hello all,

I'd appreciate the opinions of Forum members on the authenticity of this unissued WW2 Polish parachute badge.

I obtained it in about 1984 from another collector. My understanding is that the serial number 4589 is from a batch of 11 unissued badges returned at war's end from the parachute training facility in Italy to a military museum.
