Default Opinions on authenticity of British paratrooper wing

I picked this up yesterday in California but the buyer said he got it in France. It sort of looks like some of the stuff being produced for reenactors but not exactly. Any opinions?

I would agree it looks like a modern attempt on a WW2 Wing. That thick thread always makes me suspicious!
